Welcome to the new Rock That Look! While the revamp is still underway, I didn’t want to hold off on blogging any longer (so please excuse the esthetics for now!). It’s been a while since I’ve been in the groove, and I sure as hell miss it.
So now I’m back and I have to admit, I have not been on the ball with working out and eating right and as a result my body is doing weird things. In a constant battle to find flattering clothes, I never thought I’d find comfort in dresses. I’ve learned quickly that a great dress can compliment your body in numerous ways, really making you look and feel like a million bucks! I went on a bit of a dress rampage the past few weeks, but now I have wardrobe to be proud of!
If you’ve been watching my Instagram, you know I was on a Dresses & Wedges kick last week. I’ll go through each look in a separate post. This was Monday:
Wedges: Aerosoles (purchased on LongTallSally.ca)
What I Loved:
Let’s talk about the dress first. Being 5’10” this dress hit me just above the knees at a reasonable length to wear in the office. Because it’s strapless, I paired the dress with a neutral cardigan that didn’t take away from the design and structure of the main piece. A sweetheart neckline always adds a soft, feminine touch and a small bit of rouching just above the waist did wonders for my figure. I found that although the dress was a tighter fit, the polka dot design camouflaged extra weight around my waist, making me look more slender, which I will never complain about!
On to the shoes. This was my first pair of Aerosoles ever. Because I have size 11 feet, I am usually perusing the Long Tall Sally website to see what they have on sale. When I found these wedges I was intrigued by the red heel and wondered how they’d do alongside some of my favourite clothes. I was absolutely blown away with the comfort of these wedges. It literally felt like I was walking on a cloud the entire day. I never really took a second look at Aerosoles, but now that I know how amazing they feel, I will definitely be browsing there more often.
Not a bad look for a Monday morning, wouldn’t you say?
